Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before utilizing insideguilin.com. By browsing our guides, accessing our logistics index, or submitting trip inquiries, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Editorial Independence & Nature of Service

InsideGuilin is an independent digital media publication and travel resource. Our articles, logistical timetables, pricing benchmarks, and anti-crowd advice are compiled through independent field research.

While we strive to maintain up-to-the-minute accuracy regarding Chinese railway schedules, bamboo raft dock policies, and ticket rates, local conditions, river water levels, and park regulations in China are subject to change without notice. Information is provided for navigational guidance.

2. Travel Concierge & Transport Intermediary Role

Important Legal Notice on Transportation & Tours: InsideGuilin operates strictly as an information directory and introductory facilitator. InsideGuilin is NOT a licensed transportation carrier, bus company, or travel agency.
  • Direct Carrier Contract: When you request a private van transfer, airport pickup, or custom itinerary quote, InsideGuilin facilitates an introduction to vetted, licensed local commercial transport partners and drivers holding valid commercial passenger permits in the PRC. The actual contract of carriage is entered into directly between the passenger and the operating driver/carrier.
  • Payment to Driver: Payment terms for private transfers are conducted directly with your driver upon arrival or completion of service (via cash or foreign credit cards linked to Alipay / WeChat Pay), as quoted by our coordinator.
  • Currency & Tax Invoices (Fapiao): Under PRC foreign exchange and tax regulations, all ground services in China are priced and settled in Chinese Yuan (CNY/RMB). Travelers may pay in cash or via foreign cards linked to official Alipay/WeChat Pay tourist passes. Official PRC commercial tax invoices (Fapiao) can be requested directly from the operating driver or licensed transportation partner upon payment.
  • Passenger Insurance & Liability: All operating commercial transport partners are required to carry standard commercial vehicle passenger liability insurance under PRC regulations. InsideGuilin assumes no direct liability for vehicular accidents, traffic delays, property damage, or bodily injury occurring during transportation.
  • Traveler Insurance Obligation: All international travelers visiting China are strongly advised to secure comprehensive international travel, medical, and evacuation insurance prior to departure.

3. Flight Delays, Waiting Time & Cancellation Policy

  • Flight Delay Tracking: For airport pickups at Guilin Liangjiang International Airport (KWL), we monitor flight numbers in real-time. Complimentary driver waiting is provided for up to 60 minutes after actual landing. Extended delays beyond 60 minutes may incur reasonable parking/waiting surcharges or driver reassignment.
  • Free Cancellation: Cancellations submitted at least 24 hours prior to scheduled pickup time (China Standard Time, UTC+8) incur zero penalty. We request prompt notification via email, WhatsApp, or WeChat so local drivers can be released.

4. Affiliate Transparency & FTC Disclosure

In compliance with international consumer protection standards (including US FTC guidelines):

Certain recommendation links on InsideGuilin (such as tickets for the 4-Star Li River Cruise, Yulong River Rafting, China Travel eSIMs, or bullet train passes routed through /go/{slug}) are affiliate tracking links. If you complete a purchase on Klook or Trip.com via our links, we may earn an affiliate commission at absolutely zero additional cost to you. We only recommend products and routes that meet our strict editorial standards for independent travelers.

5. Force Majeure & Local Disruptions

InsideGuilin and its local transport partners shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performance resulting from events beyond reasonable control ("Force Majeure"), including but not limited to: torrential rain causing official Li River / Yulong River navigation closures, karst mountain landslides, government traffic restrictions, sudden high-speed rail cancellations, or public health emergencies. In such events, our coordinators will assist in arranging safe alternative overland transit.

6. User-Submitted Content & Reviews

Travelers submitting reviews, observations, or photos through our community feedback forms represent that their submissions are truthful and reflect genuine personal travel experiences.

By submitting content, you grant InsideGuilin a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to display and publish the review to assist other independent travelers. We reserve the right to moderate or remove submissions containing spam, defamation, or commercial advertising.

7. Intellectual Property

All original textual content, custom transit route maps, compiled comparison tables, and website layout on insideguilin.com are protected by copyright. Unauthorized automated scraping, reproduction, or wholesale mirroring without written attribution is strictly prohibited.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service and any matters arising from your use of this platform shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the People's Republic of China (PRC), without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these terms or our services shall first be submitted to good-faith consultation. If unresolved, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent People's Court in Guilin, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.
